Here are some commonly asked questions about Freecell3D. You can see the latest version of the FAQ online at www.ambermango.com.

Why do I see a message about the Card Deck when Freecell3D starts?

Some of the card decks that you download might have been provided free by a playing card manufacturer or designer. In return they would like you to view some information about the deck they have donated. This ensures that as many different card decks as possible are available for use with Freecell3D.

I have placed a Card Deck or Table file in the correct folder but I do not see it in the Card Options?

If you have placed a deck or table file in a correct folder, but is is not shown in the Options, it probably means that the deck or table is not suitable for Freecell3D but is intended for use in other products by Amber Mango. For example, a table might be the wrong shape, or a deck might have the wrong number of cards. Freecell3D looks through all the available files and determines which can be used.

I have downloaded Table or Deck graphics files - where do I put them?

The card deck graphics with the extension .fcd ("Fulldeck Card Deck") can be stored in any of the following folders:

The Freecell3D application folder, e.g. "Program Files\Freecell3D\Card Decks\"
Your Windows "My Documents\Amber Mango\Card Decks\"
The Windows "Common Files\Amber Mango\Card Decks\"

Note - if you specified a different folder for Freecell3D during setup this will override the "Program Files" folder

If identically named files appear in two or more folders then the version in the folder highest in list will take precedence. Card deck files stored in the "Program Files\Freecell3D\Card Decks\" folder will be seen by Freecell3D only.

The card table graphics with the extension .fct ("Fulldeck Card Table") can be stored in any of the following folders:

The Freecell3D application folder, e.g. "Program Files\Freecell3D\Card Tables\"
Your Windows "My Documents\Amber Mango\Card Decks\"
The Windows "Common Files\Amber Mango\Card Tables\"

Note - if you specified a different folder for Freecell3D during setup this will override the "Program Files" folder

If identically named files appear in two or more folders then the version in the folder highest in list will take precedence. Table files stored in the "Program Files\Freecell3D\Card Tables\" folder will be seen by Freecell3D only.
